Wanted – Kiddushim

Not every Shabbat do we have a celebration – a Bar-Mitzvah or Shabbat Hatan. We are looking for members who want to volunteer a Kiddush: to mark a personal celebration, to mark a jahrzeit – or just for the fun of it!!

We still do not have a kiddush up to April 6 (Metzora) – except March 23rd (Sponsored by Ruth Ritterband and Yaffa Ori)

Please contact Rav Barry to coordinate the Kiddush.

Wanted!- Haftorah readers

We are looking for men and women who want the honor of reading a haftarah when there is no bar mitzvah.
Contact Rav Barry or Yiftah to choose a date. They will be happy help you to prepare.

Chodesh ( Adar 2) Tov

Quickie Dvar Torah- The Divine “Tofes 4”

In Shmot 40:33-35 it is written When Moses had finished the work

[construction of the Mishkan]

, the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the Presence of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud had settled upon it and the Presence of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

Even though the Mishkan was built, Moshe was not allowed to enter it. He did not receive the “key to the entrance”. It seems that the “Tofes 4” had not yet been delivered, and who knows better than us, that without this long-awaited form, it is impossible to reside in a building.

When the Mishkan was completed, the presence of God (the cloud and the glory of God) covered and filled the structure. Apparently, God wanted to conduct a thorough examination and make sure that everything was actually done according to the original plan – “as the Lord commanded Moses.”

This divine inspection was performed, the “Tofes 4″ was handed over and the final certificate was signed. Moshe had to wait until he received an official invitation to enter; until God called him as it is written in next week’s Parsha : ” ‘VaYikra’-And he called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting …”
