Rosh Chodesh Kislev will be next Friday Nov 28th

 SHISHI  NOAR:    Erev Shabbat for high school students. Last Friday late afternoon, before Shabbat Carlebach tefila began, Rabbi Glikin led a study group for high school students in the kehila.  The study group worked with a topic especially relevant and immediate which featured an ethical dilemma.  We hope that this type of discussion and study will create a much closer connection to the kehila for this group of young people.

SHABBAT CARLEBACH: More than 40 people attended the fourth Shabbat Carlebach tefilah last Kabbalat Shabbat. We are very pleased that the number of attendees is growing and we invite you to join, if you have not already done so, in this meaningful spiritual experience.

 A MEETING at the GERSHON HOME: Last Monday evening, Gila and Eli Gershon hosted a meeting for our young people with Rabbi Glikin. The evening was very successful and gave everyone a chance to spend quality time with one another.  Thanks to Gila and Eli for this initiative. 

YASHER KOACH---THE ARON KODESH was FIXED (again!): To Jack Ziv El and Michael Ziv for their interest and good work in repairing the Aron Kodesh.  Hopefully, with additional wheels to support it, their work is completed.

 ENTERING  THE  IDF: Gilad Harari entered the IDF this week. Last Shabbat, together with his parents, Terry and Shabbtai, his sister, brothers and sister-in-law, he participated in Shabbat morning services and received an Aliya and a special Bracha. He read the prayer for the State of Israel on behalf of the congregation before Musaf.  We wish him success and blessing in this special part of his life ahead.

 STUDY GROUP at  NOF YAM MATNAS: Rabbi Glikin is leading a bi-weekly study group at the Matnas in Nof Yam. The group is studying Pirkei Avot. The group meets on Sunday evenings at 8:30 PM; the next meeting takes place on November 30. Members of the congregation and the community are invited.

 STUDY GROUP in Hertzliya at Beit Yom Hakashish: The second weekly session of our kehila study group took place last Monday evening. The next session meets on November 24 at 7 PM. We are studying MISHNA.  All are invited to attend these sessions led by Rabbi Glikin.

A DONATON for TZEDAKAH: We thank Rhea and Jerry Frasier for their special donation of foodstuffs for the Herzliya food bank. As part of their sponsorship of a Kiddush in memory of members of their family, they added many many items to our weekly Tzedakah collection.  Let’s follow their example.
